connotation of "I'm"


In this line the author uses connotation when using the word "I'm" to help readers unstand the ladys point of view. Hosseini uses this word to emphasize the stress and eagerness that all of the women are going through. All of the women are suffering and are forced to wait for their turn, though once this lady has her chance to get help from the nurse another women trys to steal the nurses attention. Usually in moments like this when people are interrupted, they tend to get very frustrated but because of the situation that these women are in. The frustration that women has is taken to the extreme.
